It’s hard to believe it, but tomorrow is the first day of classes here at Roberts. A year ago, I had no idea what I was about to get into, and this year, I still have no idea. I’m so excited for my new classes and new friends, but I’m a bit nervous too. I moved in on the 20th for the beginning of SALT week. SALT is the Student Association Leadership Team, and SALT week is our training to prepare us for the new year, and to plan for the Freshman Orientation. I’m the Beacon Layout Editor, for our school newpaper, so our entity has been working for the new year this past week. I was on SALT last year, but this year, I feel so much closer to the team. SALT week lets you make connections and build relationships with people you wouldn’t normally know. It really helped me get excited for this year and really on track with my place at Roberts. So, as tomorrow rolls around, I will be getting ready to tackle this year with a fresh energy and a vague direction of what I’m doing. Sounds good to me :).
